WHO WANTS TO GO TO COURT WHEN YOU CAN RESOLVE ARGUMENTS ON YOUR OWN?
It always amazes me to hear someone say "Let's just see what the Judge decides". These problems are the most significant decisions of your life, why would you want a stranger to decide them, rather than you? Especially if it involves your children. Judges do not love your children, you do. You can make the best decisions for them.
Mediation allows you to make your own decisions. If there is to be a compromise, it will be a compromise that takes into consideration your children's needs, your goals. Why be forced to live with a decision of someone who cannot learn enough about your situation in the few hours that a trial represents?
You decide how the mediation should proceed. You make the final decisions. The process is entirely voluntary.
My mediation skills allow us many different ways to try and get past your previous difficulties in communicating. I may be able to help you reach an agreement. I have a number of different tools to assist in avoiding old patterns of interaction that have kept you from being able to settle your matter.
Reaching agreement will allow you to move forward without devoting many long, hard months to litigation that will leave you unhappy, because the decision is forced upon you, not worked through and agreed by you.
