WHAT CAN WE EXPECT IF WE DECIDE TO MEDIATE?
Mediation can take place in a number of ways. I have various rooms available for mediation in the Mankato area, including the courthouse, a local church or a room in the Technology Plus of Mankato building located at 1961 Premier Drive, Mankato, Minnesota. Some of these locations are only available during working hours; some require a small rental fee; some are offered for free; some may be available on certain dates in the evening or on weekends. We may use similar locations in other parts of Southern Minnesota
Mediation may only take one session. Usually a full day of mediation can be helpful to fully resolve your differences. Sometimes it is necessary to have more than one session. Meetings may be weekly or bi-weekly, with sessions lasting two-to-three hours. You could also elect for a full morning or afternoon. I am also available some evenings as well. Some of the times multiple sessions are necessary to assure that you have enough time to gather all necessary information, so you can make informed decisions regarding these important matters.
Mediation can be very helpful whenever you have a disagreement and do not want such a dispute to go through a lawsuit. It is usually a more economical way of proceeding, as the participants usually divide the fee equally. If you decide you wish to proceed this way, please contact me and we can work out a convenient time to meet.
